Kia ora, my name is Jackie from Nurture@Home, quality education and home childcare. I provide a loving home-based childcare service in Tahuna.
I like to follow the tamariki’s lead in their interests. I then extend on this interest with resources that I have available myself and also seek external opportunities by using the public libraries, visits to places in the community or researching the internet to extend the children’s learning.
I maintain a current First Aid Certificate. I have completed the first module of the Level 4 Certificate in Early Childhood and have over 19 years of experience working as a home-based Educator.
My daughter lives in the United Kingdom and I have one cat that lives with me. In my spare time, I like to garden, visit friends and family, a “faith and light” volunteer and I like to help out where ever I can. I am a very happy and bubbly person, love children and get a real thrill from watching children soak in learning as they grow and develop. I have an open door to all and am very easy to talk to. I am also a spontaneous person and love to have fun.
I offer a wide variety of activities for the tamariki in my care such as playdough, art & craft, baking, bubble blowing, cosmic yoga, dancing, attending music groups, NatureFocus, Playschools and have a large number or resources in my home.
