Our Story

We are incredibly proud, passionate and excited about Nurture@Home – Quality Childcare & Education – here is our story.

Nurture@Home Quality Childcare & Education, was launched in September 2014 and our team has grown quickly. We have wonderful Educators and families under our ‘umbrella’ of support and we value each and every one of them!

Having over 30 years experience in early childhood education, with the last 12 being involved in homebased care, we are passionate about what we do and are driven to provide quality education and care. We love being there for Educators & Families, supporting them in this valuable role that they play each day in what we believe is laying foundations for the future!

We offer professional development opportunities on parenting and child development topics and are happy to help and support families with their childcare needs. We also offer career opportunities working as an Educator for kindred souls who love children (or perhaps may not have thought of this before until you have had your own children). Then we are here to provide guidance and support as you embark on a new career. We believe that HOME is where the heart is and that tamariki are the heart of the home.

Nurture@Home Quality Childcare & Education is an alternative to centre based childcare, offering small group sizes with a maximum of 4 children under the age of 6 and never more than 2 children under the age of two (unless siblings), in the Educators own home or in the families home.

Approved by the Ministry of Education, Nurture@Home upholds the Licensing Criteria for Home-Based Education and Care Services (2008) and the Education (Early Childhood Services) Regulations 2008.

The experiences they get with nurture at home is awesome, such a cool environment for our tamariki with lots of exciting activities. I love how they experience time with their familiar small groups and get the chance to experience learning with large groups of tamariki too. The communication between parent and educator is such an underrated part of this childcare service. I love reading the learning updates from her teacher and seeing the photos of my daughter experiencing new things, learning, making friends and having fun. Beautiful company to work with, in fact describing Nurture@Home as a company doesn’t feel right at all – it’s closer to being a large extended family in every sense & words can’t describe how amazing this is. I recently joined the Nurture@Home team as an Educator because their philosophy falls close to my heart. I feel they have exceeded my expectations in terms of support, subsidies for families, professional development and regular group experiences (Playschool and NatureEXPLORERS etc). I feel that these experiences contribute to providing a rich programme for the children and an opportunity to develop networks with other Educators, Nurturing and educate children in my home is such a pleasure with Nurture@Home.

Nurture@Home are supportive and encouraging and always on hand to assist me. I find the communication excellent and the ability to stay in the loop with what is happening to be of ease. My Visiting Teacher always comes prepared for our monthly visits, with loads of handouts and feedback for me to consider.
