Kia ora, my name is Donna and I provide a loving home-based childcare service through Nurture@Home in Redwoodtown area. I believe every child deserves the chance to explore the community in which they live, learn water safety, have messy play experiences and build lifelong relationships/whanaungatanga built through manaakitanga. I do this by taking the time to form those bonds early with the child and their whanau and provide a programme that is active in the community.
I have had 10 years plus experience in homebased education, I have the Level 4 Certificate in Early Childhood Education & Care, child protection training and a current first aid certificate. I am a Marlburian born and bred, and I live here with my husband. I believe homebased childcare is the best start for children because as an Educator I am able to tailor my programme to meet the needs of the children and the families whilst giving them opportunities to grow, develop, be challenged and succeed in their learning journey.
Every day is an adventure in our environment, whether at home or in the community. I like to read books with the children, attend NatureFocus, Music and Playschool and utilise the community by often going on outings.
