Kia ora, I’m Samantha, and I provide nurturing home-based childcare in central Blenheim. I believe children learn best when they feel happy, safe, loved and connected.
Nature and the outdoors are a big part of my approach. I enjoy using natural and everyday resources to create fun learning experiences, whether that’s collecting treasures outside, baking together, getting messy with creative activities, reading a favourite story or simply exploring what is happening around us. I love to follow children’s interests and watch children become curious about something, then I find ways to build on that interest through play, conversation, creativity and exploration.
When I’m not caring for children, you’ll often find me spending time with family and friends, baking something to share, enjoying the outdoors, reading, listening to music or singing. I love the simple, everyday moments that bring people together, and these are the kinds of experiences I hope to create for the children in my care. I feel very privileged to be part of a child’s early years and look forward to creating lots of special memories, learning moments and adventures together.
