Kia ora, my name is Katherine and I provide a loving home-based childcare service through Nurture@Home in Stoke.  I believe that relationships are the foundation that enables all learning to happen. I like to provide children with the time to grow, for confidence development whilst gently encouraging, and observing them. I encourage a mix of both fun and calm.

I have been a qualified and registered teacher since 2005. I have many years of experience as a kaiako/teacher in early learning centres and can provide care for children with diverse needs. Recently I have been drawn to make the shift into teaching in home-based childcare as this matches my teaching philosophy perfectly.

When your child/tamaiti comes to care at Kaiako Katherine’s, you get quality childcare through an experienced ECE teacher, a dedicated teacher who is adaptable to children’s needs and who does everything with aroha. I love to take the children to explore in our community, attending cultural events, Playschool, NatureFocus and the library and in my home setting your children will get to enjoy all the special home activities including water, messy plat, gardening, stories& music, and arts & crafts. I also enjoy providing special whanau events for those I work with.
