Hai, I am Yuen, and I provide nurturing home-based childcare in the central Blenheim area. It is important to me to build strong, trusting relationships with children and their whānau so they feel comfortable, secure and genuinely happy when they arrive each day. I believe that when children feel safe, loved and have a strong sense of belonging, they are more confident to explore, discover and learn.
Born in Malaysia, I moved to beautiful New Zealand in 2017. I speak and write four languages, including English, and I love the richness that different cultures, languages and family traditions bring to our lives. I love being outdoors and spending time in nature. I am a chef by trade, so cooking and baking are a very special part of who I am. I love creating delicious food and sharing that enjoyment with others.
I understand that choosing someone to care for your child is a very personal decision. As a parent, you want to know that your child is not only safe and cared for, but that they are known, valued and genuinely enjoyed.
