Kia ora, my name is Heidi and I provide a loving nanny service through Nurture@Home, quality education and home childcare. With over 20 years experience as a nanny to draw from, I believe that focusing on good relationships with families builds the firm foundations and framework for the future. I feel the importance of communication and respect towards each other is also key to working within the early childhood education sector.
I feel empowered and passionate that homebased care allows children to receive quality learning within the home environment as it fosters a sense of security for children to belong, promoting positive self esteem. I hold a current First Aid Certificate, Level 3 & Level 4 Certificate in Early Childhood Education, have been a Hippy Training Tutor (2006), a Playcentre Supervisor and a supervisor of CYFS visitations.
Heading out to outings, activities and local community groups is amazing for our tamariki. Children learn by being, seeing and doing; therefore I strive to be the ultimate role model. I also love supporting Nurture@Home and their programme and this is such a key support system within my week.
