Hi, I’m Katie from Nurture@Home, providing quality home-based early learning in beautiful Rai Valley.
I am a down-to-earth country girl at heart and feel very lucky to be able to offer tamariki a calm, caring, and nurturing environment where they can feel safe, settled, and valued. I believe children learn best when they feel a strong sense of belonging, and I love supporting them through everyday play, routines, conversations, outdoor experiences, and the simple moments that happen naturally within the day.
I am new to home-based early childhood education and am excited to be beginning my learning journey, including working towards my Level 4 Early Childhood Education qualification. I am also very fortunate to be supported and mentored by Bex, an experienced, trained ECE teacher based in Rai Valley, who provides regular guidance, encouragement, and professional support.
I love working with young children because every day is different, and they teach me just as much as I teach them. My goal is to create a warm, positive space where tamariki feel confident to explore, play, learn, and grow at their own pace.
With the support of Nurture@Home and strong mentoring around me, I look forward to building trusting relationships with tamariki and whānau, and creating a place where children feel a true sense of belonging.
