Kia ora, my name is Bethany and I provide a loving home-based childcare service through Nurture@Home in Grovetown in Blenheim. I believe that every child who comes to care with me is an extension of my own family. It is important for me to ensure that children’s whānau can be as involved in their learning as possible and are encouraged to be involved.
I have three children of my own and have a real passion for watching all children to learn and grow. I believe play-based learning, with many different experiences and opportunities sets children up to be confidant and capable learners in the future. All children need to be encouraged to explore, learn and grow at their own pace, and allowed the freedom to get messy, creative and create their own learning opportunities. Building lasting friendships is something I aspire to help with, and having social experiences and being at one with nature is viewed as fun.
We like to explore out and about in the community and have a large selection of resources so the children will be given many different opportunities even when we are at home.
