Visiting Teacher – Nelson
Kia ora, I’m Hestia. Originally from the Tasman area, I’m excited to reconnect with our wonderful community of Educators and families. My teaching philosophy has always closely aligned with the values of in-home childcare, and I feel privileged to once again be part of this unique and meaningful area of education and care.
With 14 years of experience across teaching, mentoring, and leadership roles, I bring creativity, energy, and a deep passion for early childhood education. I believe in fostering each child’s individual growth through engaging, play-based, and interest-led learning experiences. My approach centres on creating inclusive and nurturing environments that support children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development—helping them to thrive in their own unique ways.
As a Visiting Teacher, I look forward to building strong, supportive relationships with both Educators and whānau, working alongside them to ensure every child’s learning journey is valued and celebrated.
