Kia ora, my name is Susan, and I provide a loving home-based childcare service through Nurture@Home.

I believe it is important to treat children with respect and honesty. Young children are learning heaps every single day, so I take pride in insuring that it is ALL important learning. Where it be language development, life and social skills, music, stories or culture – it is all valid. I create a safe play and learning space to learn it all.

I have recently completed my level 4 certificate in ECE through Open Polytechnic and have worked at the Brook Kindy for my placement where I have learnt so much. Home-Based care aligns with where I am heading in my ECE career, and I look forward to getting started with Nurture@Home. My greatest experience in how to nurture young children come from being a mother so I believe I have a wide range of knowledge to share in my role.

When children come to care at my house we enjoy a wide range of resources, music, walks, reading, games, water and imaginative play, nature and wee adventures to all the wonderful places that The Brook have freely on offer for us. I will provide a home-like setting and treat your children as If they were my own. My space is safe, encouraging, and we are always learning and growing here. We will enjoy regular outings to parks, and community resources and Nurture@Home events. All learning life through play. I am flexible and work to follow children’s individual interests and their families’ aspirations.

I look forward to meeting with you all to discuss your childcare needs.
