Kia ora, my name is Amanda and I provide a loving home-based childcare service through Nurture@Home in Blenheim.
I am a qualified and fully registered ECE teacher with a Bachelor of Education (Teaching) Early Years (Birth to Eight), and ready to provide loving care and education for your child.
I have been a home-based Educator since February 2019 and prior to working in the home-based sector, I spent 4 years working in childcare center’s mainly with children under the age of 2. I felt a strong pull towards the home-based philosophy and so I made the change to teaching children in the in-home care setting to be able to provide children with quality care in a calm, safe, happy and warm environment.
I am most excited about having regular outings for learning and to enjoy time in our community at places like music, Playschool, NatureFocus, and visiting the rest home. I have many open-ended resources for children’s imagination to come alive and develop as they explore and make sense of the world around them.
I am married to my loving husband Conrad and together we have two children. Our triple sliding door allows easy flow to outside where children can play in different spaces on the deck, in the shade of the garages, dig in the sand pit, or relax on the grass.
