Kia ora, my name is Aimee and I provide a loving home-based childcare service as a Nanny through Nurture@Home in the Nelson area.
I believe children learn best when they feel safe, valued and supported. Strong, trusting relationships, play-based learning and respectful, patient interactions are key to supporting children’s emotional development, confidence and independence.
I have worked with children for over 10 years in many different settings including babysitting, working in preschool centre roles, primary school teacher aide/learning support roles in schools and ongoing professional nannying. This has provided me with experience across a wide range of ages.
When I nanny children, I provide calm, nurturing care in their own familiar space. I also build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families, which is reliable, personalised care. I attend outings in the community with the children as well as join in the Nurture@Home regular program of activities and events.
