Hi my name is Di from Nurture@Home, quality education and home childcare. I offer a warm friendly environment to families, being a ‘Nana’ figure to the children. I am supported by my husband Don and together we have four grown children and lots of awesome grandchildren.
I believe that children learn best by exploring and testing their abilities with love and guidance. I am actively involved in the Nurture@Home programme and offer a vast variety of activities to the children, including; PlaySchool, NatureExplorers, Music & Movement, messy play, sensory play, art and craft and visits to local parks and places. My home is very resourced and has a secure outdoor area.
I truly believe in the value of home-based care – particularly the 1:1 care that I can provide each child due to the low 1:4 ratios.
I offer a fun caring environment where I want children to feel happy. I like to work closely with families/whanau to also ensure they feel happy about leaving their children in my care.
I hold a current First Aid Certificate and have completed my National Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 4).
I love knitting and spending time with my growing family.
