Kia ora, my name is Robyn and I provide a loving home-based childcare service through Nurture@Home in Witherlea, Blenheim.
I believe a child must first feel really safe, confident and happy to be in a place to learn, so I like to create an environment where everybody has a strong sense of belonging and somewhere that we can explore all the children’s own individual interests.
I have obtained the National Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 4) and have spent the past 7 years working in Home-Based Childcare & Education. In my spare time I love to spend time in the garden and cooking. Both of these activities make an appearance in my education program with the children too. I am also happy when I am out and out walking my golden lab Oslo and we also have Johnny the cat who lives with us too!
My point of difference with my childcare program is that I love to take the children out and about to explore, and I love to let them get involved in messy play so they have to not mind getting a bit mucky here from time to time. We also do lots of other activities like music, singing & dancing. I do like to follow the interests of the children and incorporate this interest into their learning.
