Kia ora, my name is Lucy and I provide a quality education and home childcare service through Nurture@Home in Brightwater.
I believe that children learn through play, so I love to have fun with children as I follow their interests. Providing them with a wide variety of activities where they can explore their surroundings, try new things and make the most of learning opportunities. I believe it is important to form trusting relationships quickly with families to ensure we can work together to provide the best care and learning environment possible for their children, whilst meeting their aspirations and providing children with routines and boundaries.
I have had my own children and also worked as a home-based Educator in the UK for three years so have plenty of experience with all ages of children. I have completed multiple courses to expand my knowledge and abilities. I have always been naturally drawn to children and the joy that they bring me.
I live with my partner Matt and we have a son and a daughter and two dogs. My hobbies include walking the dogs, bike rides, tennis, paddle boarding and swimming. I love to spend time outdoors with trips to the beach, forest, parks and local playgrounds.
