Kia ora, my name is Lisa and I provide a loving home-based childcare service as a Nanny through [email protected] in the Motueka/Tasman region. I am available two days week for childcare.
When working with children, I believe it is important that children learn that they are loved and have a sense of belonging. Children need to feel safe and have their needs met. They need to learn kindness through positive role-modeling. Playing with children is an essential part of their learning while observation is also important.
Previously I have worked at Granny’s Place with an age range of 6 months to two year olds for a period of ten years. I have also worked as a relief teacher at other ECE Centres in both Wellington and Motueka. I have begun my nanny training many years ago and look forward to completing my nanny certificate. I have two daughters and we live with our two cats and a cockatiel. I enjoy exercise (sometimes), music, bike rides, reading, catching up with family and friends and eating yummy food.
I believe my point of difference is that I care a lot and form close connections with children and their families. I have a good sense of humour and I relate well with people from all walks of life.
I enjoy doing crafts, singing and music, exploring nature, and meeting up with other children and Educators for social occasions when working with children and their whanau. I look forward to meeting with you to discuss your childcare needs.
