Our StoryJanelle & Bodhi – Business Owners, Early Childhood Teachers, Mum’s & Friends

We are incredibly proud, passionate and excited about Nurture@Home and the people involved – adults and children! We have many years of history as friends and colleagues working alongside each other in the early childhood sector and this shines through each day. Nurture@Home was launched in September 2014 and our team has grown quickly. We have wonderful Educators and families under our ‘umbrella’ of support and we value each and every one of them!

Janelle – ‘With over 25 years in early childhood education, and the last 10 being involved in home based care I know I have found my ‘niche’ in my career & community. For the past 10 years I have been working in In Home Childcare here in our local community. I love being there for Educators & Families, supporting them in this valuable role that they play each day.’

Bodhi – ‘My passion is working with and alongside young children, celebrating our unique bicultural heritage and encouraging children’s engagement in the wonderful natural environments that we have in the Nelson/Tasman region, watching children grow & develop into confident and independent young human beings.

We love to meet families, children and educators in our community and support them in what we believe is laying foundations for the future! At each of our regular events and outings we look forward to seeing the children and enjoy their hugs! Between us we do get to know each child & educator well, as well as aiming to get to know the families too.

Nurture@Home is an alternative to centre based childcare, offering small group sizes with a maximum of 4 children under the age of 6 and never more than 2 children under the age of two (unless siblings), in the Educators own home or in the families home.

Approved by the Ministry of Education, Nurture@Home upholds the Licensing Criteria for Home-Based Education and Care Services (2008) and the Education (Early Childhood Services) Regulations 2008.
