Because when children feel at home, they flourish. 💛

Nurture@Home is a locally owned home-based early learning service in Nelson Tasman and Marlborough. We provide relationship-led care through a team of nurturing Educators, creating warm, calm, small group environments that foster confidence, curiosity and emotional security.

We partner with whānau to support each child’s wellbeing and development because learning begins at home.

Looking for Calm, Connected Care?

Our passionate team of heart-led Educators are carefully chosen and whom we believe will provide the level of nurturing care we expect! All of our Educators are safety checked and are genuinely passionate about providing quality early childhood care and education.

Our Home Educators / Kaipoipoi work from their own homes with a maximum of four children, creating a positive, nurturing environment and provide a rich programme to support each child/tamaiti to achieve their full potential.

Our Nanny Educators / Kaipoipoi attend to your childs / tamaiti needs, supporting their learning and development in the comfort of the childs / tamaiti own home. Nanny Educators / Kaipoipoi can also work alongside the families/whanau in a support role.

Our Community Playschools

Children learn best through play and that is why we provide  Nurture@Home Playschools EVERY WEEK during term time.

Playschools provide lots of socialisation opportunities for children and adults and our Playschools are open to anyone in the community so you are welcome to join us.

We are licensed by the Ministry of Education and passionate about our active programme of activities full or rich learning experiences. Time and time again research shows that group size and child to adult ratios are key factors in quality outcomes for children. Providing tamariki with the opportunity to unfold and learn at their own pace and develop to their fullest potential.

Because belonging extends beyond walls — it connects children to Papatūānuku..

At our weekly NatureFocus the environments offer a variety of possibilities for exploring, planning, reasoning & learning as the children are able to study, discover, investigate and search. Developing a sense of belonging in their community and an attachment with nature.

At Nurture@Home Childcare & Education the children’s relationship to Papatūānuku is based on whakapapa, respect and aroha.

✨ Fun Fact Friday! ✨

At Nurture@Home, we don’t just nurture children, we clearly love a good name trend too!

Whilst we have many Educators on our team,

A fun fact about us, is that our team also proudly includes:
• Two Aimee’s
• Two Hayley’s
• Two Jackie’s
• Two Leah’s
AND
• Two Lucy’s

How is that for a bit of fun when we are calling out to our team?!! Double the names = double the care, connection and expertise, Clearly, great names (and great Educators) come in twos 💛

Today at Playschool we have been celebrating Sea Week 🌊🐚

The children have been enjoying our Sea World set up in the water trough outside, exploring shells and sea animals as part of our sea-themed provocation.

Inside, we also created an indoor Sea World, filled with shells and sea animals for the children to explore, sort, and create their own ocean stories.

We have been busy painting stones, supporting creativity and helping to develop fine motor skills as the children carefully used brushes and explored colours.

There has also been lots of physical development happening. Our younger children have been enjoying the climbing frame, building their confidence and coordination, while the older children have been busy using large boxes and planks to build confidence, balance and problem-solving skills.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped with the tidy up this afternoon. Many hands make light work, and it was very much appreciated! 😊

When @nelsontasmanhospice put the call out on social media for donations of tissues, our team at Nurture@Home were more than happy to help 🤍

A huge thankyou to our lovely team of leaders and Educators who contributed towards this cause. Today we dropped all of these tissue boxes off to the Hospice to support the incredible mahi they do in our community. It’s the little things that can make a big difference and we’re proud to play a small part in supporting local families when they need it most. Hospice has been there for so many people in our community let's be there for them?

If you’re able, consider donating too. Everything helps. 💛

They are always greatful for dropped off donations of

❤️boxes of tissues.
❤️books of postage stamps.
❤️packets of envelopes to cater for the 700 copies of notices that go out to people in our community via post per term.
❤️80GSM printer paper.

At NatureFocus, we see children light up when they explore the world around them, building confidence, curiosity, and a love for nature.
🌳🥰🐜

The powerful impact of a child’s environment is described by Maria Montessori: The child has a different relation to her environment from ours... the child absorbs it. The things she sees are not just remembered; they form a part of her soul. 💙💖

Nicki is so kind caring, gentle but also fun!

“I put my daughter in with Nicki when she was 15/16 months old and it was the best choice I could have made. My daughter only goes 2 days a week but she settled in so easily and quickly as her educator / kaipoipoi is so kind caring, gentle but also fun! Nicki made my daughter and I both feel so comfortable from the get go! This was so important to me as I just had a new baby and was so worried about how my daughter would get on with so many changes happening.

The experiences they get with nurture at home is awesome, such a cool environment for our tamariki with lots of exciting activities. I love how they experience time with their familiar small groups and get the chance to experience learning with large groups of tamariki too. The communication between parent and educator is such an underrated part of this childcare service. I love reading the learning updates from her teacher and seeing the photos of my daughter experiencing new things, learning, making friends and having fun. Definitely recommend placing your child with one of the awesome home based educators that work for Nurture at Home. I couldn’t be happier”

Get started yesterday

Beautiful company to work with, in fact describing Nurture@Home as a company doesn’t feel right at all – it’s closer to being a large extended family in every sense & words can’t describe how amazing this is. I am thankful and blessed to be part of such a kind, loving, nurturing, heart centered, supportive community. I have truly flourished in my time with Nurture. If your considering either placing your pride and joy with Nurture@Home or becoming an Educator yourself, the only advice I have to offer is – GET STARTED YESTERDAY – because this is a fabulous opportunity & people are clicking on to it. Spaces do not hang around long! Thank you for all of the love, support & opportunities you provide us with as Educators Nurture, we adore you.
